I am still here in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. It is a busy place full of people offering you massages, motorbikes and marijuana. Last night as I was walking down the street one guy even offered me heroin. Hmmm, think I’ll pass this time mate but maybe tomorrow yeah?
So I am currently in the process of working on a completely new project (watch this space!) but in the meantime I have a couple of extra bits and pieces to put out, such as this skateboard film, which was all filmed in a very short period of time for a bit of fun.
I previously posted up the trailer for this skateboarding short film that I was working on with a friend of mine, Leon. We met up in Vietnam, having not seen each other since I was last in London which was over a year ago now. He busted out a few ollies, some flips, jumped some steps and attempted some board slides…some worked better than others as you can see from the following video!
It was filmed in the space of about an hour in the busy Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. I have been wanting to film some skateboarding for a while and luckily for me, the opportunity presented itself in Vietnam in the form of Leon plus skateboard. And so I decided to create this short film. The skating isn’t at professional level but I wanted to capture the element of fun and also to entertain and engage the viewer. I would absolutely love the opportunity to work with some professional level skateboarders.
